Henlo fellow writers, friends, followers, viewers, and...readers? Yeah, readers sounds good too.
The Rules~ 1. First, thank the person who nominated you, include a link to their blog, and add the Liebster Award badge to your blog and/or post. Well, as I mentioned before, no one actually nominated me *cringe* but I will thank them anyway. *Takes deep breath* THANK YOU TO MARY, ALANA, ISSABELLE, AND KATHERINE FOR GIVING ME A CHANCE FOR DOING THIS TAG EVEN THOUGH Y'ALL NEVER ACTUALLY NOMINATED ME!!!!!! 2. Next answer the eleven questions from the person who nominated you. Yep, I'll get right to that, soon. 3. Give eleven random facts about yourself. Yep, that shall happen right after I answer the questions. 4. Nominate 5-11 fellow bloggers with less than 200 followers. Easy-peasy...I think... 5. Notify your nominees that you nominated them for the Liebster Award. Yep, I shall get to that soon. 6. Last but not least, ask your nominees eleven questions. Yes, I have to...make up questions...I hope I'll be able to do this correctly... Mary's, Alana's, Issabelle's, and Katherine's Questions (AKA, Mary's Questions) *Wonders if I should keep that title* 1. What is something weird/funny you and your family do regularly? Something weird/funny, huh? *Thinks hard* *Keeps thinking* *Doesn't want fellow readers to realize is just making the question's answer longer than it should be* I have an answer!!! *Thinks again to make sure the answer is the right answer* Okay, I have gotten my answer and my answer is....*drumroll* I DON'T KNOW! *nods* Yes, I do not know, please do not judge. At this moment, I have a mind-blank and it's only the first question. (-‸ლ) 2. What is one thing about you most of your readers probably don't know? Hmmm...good question! I am determined to answer this one. *Thinks really hard* Okay, one thing that y'all probably didn't know about me is... *drumroll* I am scared of social interaction. Yes, it's a thing. And I'm sure a lot of people have it. *Crickets chirping* Okay...moving on! 3. What kind of music do you listen to the most? (Feel free to share an awesome song from that genre!) Okay, this one's an easy question. My favorite type of music is electronica. I'm sure a LOT of people don't even know what that genre is (I never knew what it was until recently). Anyway, here are two songs from the genre. They are both by Alan Walker, don't judge me, I like his music! Darkside and All Falls Down. 4. What is the weirdest smell you have ever smelled? Oh, as soon as I read this question only one thing came to my mind. So you know how you drive on the highway and there's the ocean near you and you smell something really gross and weird? Yeah, that's the weirdest smell I've ever smelled. You probably have no idea what I'm talking about if you don't live in the bay area of your state. Let's just say, once, I almost threw up because of it. 5. If you could be any animal, would animal would you be and why? Hmmm....Let's see...I know my favorite animals are Sea Turtles, but that's not what I want to be. I think I'd like to be a bird. But maybe you guys would want to know what kind of bird... I want to be a Bluejay!! They're so cute...don't ask me why I think that. 🐦 See? Don't you think it's so cute? ❤️ 6. If you could be a Disney prince (if you’re a guy) or princess (if you’re a girl), who would you be and why? Hmmm...I'm a girl, so obviously I'd have to choose a Disney princess. I've always like Mulan even though she never was a princess. Still, I'm going to choose Mulan. 7. What is the coolest/weirdest name you’ve seen/heard someone in real life have? One name I've heard in real life that's really cool is Azura. I really like that name, I have no idea why though. It just sounds really cool. 8. If someone asked to be your apprentice and learn all that you know, what would you teach them? The art of being silent for as long as you live. I LOVE doing that. I have no idea why, it's a gift (that one of my friends obviously doesn't have). I can do it right now...except my parents get really annoyed by it. I don't know why, they think it's annoying when I don't talk and not annoying when my brother just doesn't know how to stop talking. Now it just seems like I'm rambling... Next question! 9. In your opinion, what is the most annoying color? The most annoying color? Let's see... Oh, yellow. BLECH. I have more reasons than I should have. One, yellow is just TOO light. Like, I mean, you can barely see it! Tell me, you can BARELY see this, right? It's just too pale!! Another reason why is because it's my enemy-from-4th-grade's favorite color. Everytime I see it, I get reminded of that guy. 😡 Anyway, another reason why I don't like it is because it's just looks gross (no offense)! I know a lot of gross things that are yellow and you don't wanna know them. I would list more reasons why, but then we'd have to be here all day and that's not fun, is it? Note: Sorry to all the yellow-lovers out there (except for my enemy-from-4th-grade)!!! 😇 10. What is the funniest/craziest thing you’ve ever done? Funniest/craziest thing I've ever done? Is this question trying to expose me...? Well, anyway, the funniest AND craziest thing I've ever done was try to create a language. I think I was about eight years old. That did NOT go well. I ended up making it sounds inappropriate. I would mention a few words, but I barely remember any. Probably for the best since that language *inhales sharply* did not go well. No questions asked, please. 11. Can you ever be backwards on stairs, even when you’re walking down them backwards? Good question. I have NO idea. For two reasons. One, I don't even have stairs in this house. Two, I had stairs in the last house I lived in, but I never tried that. Mainly because I'm scared of walking on stairs, I have no idea why. My brother once fell down the stairs laughing without a single bruise on him, but I don't think I'd be so lucky. But, to answer your question, no, I cannot walk backwards on the stairs. Judging TWN's answers, looks like it's not safe. So I will never do that. (I should stop making my answers so long...) The Eleven Random Facts About Me~

Hi writers! (Yes, that sounds better.)
I hope that this month's short story contest's genre hasn't been too hard for y'all!!! To make it a bit easier, here's a link that might help you get those gears moving in your heads. thewritepractice.com/20-mystery-story-ideas/ I hope it helps all of you as much it helped me! Anyway, that's it for today's very Tiny, Itty Bitty, Little Announcement!!! Have a Wonderful Wednesday, y'all!! Hello fellow humans!! (That doesn't sound right...)
Welcome to my first contest for y'all!! This is not just any contest, it's a short story contest!! Yes, you read that right! I will be hosting one once a month. Every month, there will be a genre that you need to submit your story about. (I will tell the genre shortly.) Rules for this Contest (and all the Other Ones in the Future)~ 1. Whatever you submit must be your own work!! Which means, you are not allowed to copy anyone else's work and pass it off as your own. That's plagiarism and it's very bad!! 2. Your story must be entered with the correct genre of that month. 3. Your story must be a maximum of 1,350 words. (I would've said 1,000, but 1,350 sounds better.) 4. The short story that you write must be appropriate for ages 14 and under. 5. The story must be submitted before the deadline. 6. Only one entry per person allowed. If you submit more than one entry, then your first entry will be the only one I will count. 6. Follow all of these rules, or else your story will not be counted as an entry. (No matter how good it is!!) Disclaimer: I won't be making any exceptions for anyone!! The Prizes for this Contest (and all the Other Ones in the Future)~ Yes, OF COURSE there are prizes! I mean, c'mon, what's a contest without prizes? Am I right? First Place Winner:- A guest posting on my blog, a sneak peak at Mute, a collage made by me for the story you enter, and a customized email signature!!! Second Place Winner:- A sneak peak at Mute, a collage made by me for the story you enter, and a customized email signature!! Third Place Winner:- A sneak peak at Mute and a collage made by me for the story you enter! The Genre for this Month:- Mystery The deadline for this contest is February 28 at 11:59 PM (PST) I will announce the winners sometime during the week of March 1st. Well, I can't wait to see all of your short stories everyone!! Here's a link to the survey for y'all to submit your entries. Happy writing everyone! 😊 Hellloooo everyone!!!! Today, I decided to try out this tag that Alexa from A Fangirl's Hideaway did a while back!
The Rules~ 1. Link back to the creator (bluemallowmelt.wordpress.com) 2. Provide a link to the person who tagged you No one really tagged me, Alexa just said anybody who has a blog can do it, but I'll provide a link to her blog anyway. (afangirlshideaway.wordpress.com) 3. Answer all questions honestly. No lying! 4. Come up with 5 questions on your own (4 have to be about peer pressure; 1 can be random and about whatever) 5. Tag at least ten people and provide links to their blogs. 6. Recommend at least 5 books or songs you see everywhere and/are very popular that you've read or listened to. 7. Use the hashtag #peerpressure tag for easier visibility The Questions (With my Answers)!! 1. Have you ever done something that your friends have pressured you to do? Yes, actually, and it was VERY humiliating. The Story~ Last year (before the pandemic), our school held this Lip Sync battle in the winter. It had to be about Christmas or Wintery Stuff. Me being an introvert, DID NOT even think about doing it. That is, until, two of my "very innocent" friends thought it'd be fun to do. They practically forced me to do it with them. They followed me around everywhere and kept telling me to do it. Honestly, all that urging made me want to actually do it. They kept doing it until the point of it being annoying. I finally agreed and they practically jumped up and down with joy. The song they chose was probably not a good idea, it was called Into the Unknown from (you guessed it) Frozen 2. Not suitable for a 6th grader (back then), but I went with it (after multiple pleas). We practiced every day very well until we remembered the song by-heart (I still remember it to this day XD) Fast-forward to a few days before the battle and you'd find one of my friends quitting and saying that she doesn't want to do it anymore. Great I had thought until another one of my friends said that she'd fill in. At least that was good news. Fast forward to THE DAY of the Lip Sync battle and you'll find us stressing. We lip-sync our song with some [last-minute] dance moves. As soon as we finish, we run off the stage, I don't know about my friends, but I felt really embarrassed. When it was time for the judges (AKA teachers) to start judging we, you guessed it, lost. It wasn't to humiliating, but still. I still kinda regret doing it since I could've just kept saying "No" to my friends. Then again, I wouldn't have known what a lip-sync battle would've been like without them. <End of my Story> Yeah, that's the end of my very random and pretty long story. XD 2. Have you ever rode a ride at a theme park because someone wanted you to? No, actually. I've NEVER been to a theme park in my life, so nobody actually made me ride a ride at one. 3. Have you ever refused someone during a game of truth or dare? Yes, once. But I never got away with it. Let's just say that it ended with me laughing like I was mad. (And I mean the coo-coo kind of mad.) 4. Do you think your friends would help stand up for you if you didn’t want to do something? Hmmm.... That's a hard question to answer. I'm not entirely sure, but they would most likely stand up for me if I don't want to do something. 5. Do you like rain? (Random question) Well, that depends. I like it when it's not raining too hard. But if it's pouring, then it tends to annoy me. My Questions!! 1. What do you think about Peer Pressure in your opinion? 2. What are some things that have changed your life because of Peer Pressure? 3. Are there any great things that have happened in your life thanks to Peer Pressure? If so, what are they? 4. Have you ever pressured someone else to do something against their will? If so, what was it? 5. What is your most favorite sound? (Random Question) Books/Songs I Recommend!!

Also, I know I'm supposed to tag at least 10 people, but I couldn't think of anyone else to tag. Sorry! Well, that's it for today's post, everyone!! Have a great rest of your Monday! #peerpressure Hellooooo everyone! Welcome to Stop #7 of Escaping the Blogosphere!! This blog post is only for people participating in Teen Writers' Nook's Virtual Scavenger Hunt. If you aren't participating in the scavenger hunt, it might not be the best idea to start now since I'm the seventh out of nine stops. Somewhere around my blog is a link to the eighth stop! I'm sure those of you who are participating know this. This link is closer than you think—somewhere you wouldn't think to look! (Unless your smart unlike me...) To make it more fancy, I made my clue a little puzzle! You didn't think I was gonna make it that easy, did you? Have you found my clue? If you did, congratulations! Now comes for the hard part; look for the link on that page. It may not sound so hard, but trust me, it'll be hidden in a place where you can't even see it. 😈 *Plays dramatic music* Good luck, everyone!! 😁 P.S. Did you know that 7 is my lucky number? (I know it's pretty random, but I felt like sharing it!) 😜
Hello there everyone! There is this really cool Writers Linkup that I saw over at Maya Joelle's blog and thought it would be pretty cool to try it out! This is a graphic that she made~ Now, I will be answering 10 questions (from Maya) about my MC (AKA Main Character) from a story I'm writing called Mute. (I'm not really done with it yet, so I won't be able to answer all of the questions thoroughly.) 1. Introduce your MC. What's their name? Age? Appearance? (Sharing collages/inspiration photos encouraged!) Now, I already know this is gonna be really fun! The name of my MC is Trixie. She is a fifteen-year-old girl. She has dark brown hair, brown eyes, and is the average height for a girl her age. She wears a knee-high plaid skirt with a plain white T-Shirt that she stole from a school. This is the book cover I made for Mute~
3. What’s the first thing your MC says in the story? The last? A random quote from the middle that you like? This is the first thing that my MC says in the story~ "I am not mute. I never was mute. I will never be mute...at least, I hope not. " Since I'm not done with the story yet, I can't really tell the last thing my MC will say. So, here's a random quote from the middle~ "'Ah, so you're a girl of few words.'" he said, trying to get me to let go of him. I only pinched his arms into his back even more. Yeah, I know. It's pretty random, especially since I haven't given away much of the story. But I hope it'll make sense once I get the chance to share it! (Which mostly likely won't be any time soon...) 😅 4. Which other character would die for your MC? Dominic (the town's sheriff). Usually, I'd say a reason...but not this time. Hehe 😁 5. Would your MC die for them? Yep, definitely. It'll take some time since Trixie will start teasing Dominic, but she will. 6. Have any major details about your MC changed since you first created them? Hmmm... So far, not yet, but maybe soon...maybe. 7. What characters (from books/movies not by you) remind you of your MC? Why? Hmmm.... This one is hard... I'm not really sure. The MC of my story is probably more like a little bit of a lot of character I've seen or heard of. I'd say she's daring like Aurelia from The Mark of the Thief Series, smart like Hermione from Harry Potter, and compassionate like Imogen from The Ascendance Series. She's probably like a lot of other characters I know, but I can't think of any more right now. 8. Share your MC's favorites! [color, food, type of clothing, place, type of music, season, smell, etc.] Yay! This is probably my most favorite question! Here are all of her favorites~ Color:- Black Food:- Anything as long as it tastes good Type of clothing:- Anything that doesn't prevent her from being able run whenever she needs to Place:- Somewhere quiet Type of music:- None Season:- Spring Smell:- Food Animal:- Cats Favorite time of day:- Daybreak 9. If your MC wasn't involves in your story, what would they be doing? (Basically: what's their dream life? Where do they want to live, what do they want to do?) If my MC wasn't involved in my story, that just wouldn't be right because...well...SHE'S MY MC! BUT, if she really wasn't involved in my story, she'd probably be somewhere stealing something from someone and living her life. But if we're talking about dreams, then she'd be living somewhere in a huge mansion with great luxury. OR, at least somewhere with food, water, shelter, and entertainment to last her a lifetime. (I'm really not thinking outside the box right now... 😓 ) 10. Share a fun extra (another collage, a playlist, a scene from the story, a a drawing, etc.) Hmmm... Okay.... Yep... I'm just gonna leave and make a collage now. Okie dokie! I will now show you my not-so-great collage that I definitely didn't make a few minutes ago!~ Hello everyone! Happy Saturday! So, I've just got a very random and quick announcement. I have dreaded the fact that my blog name is...well...my name. Which is very unprofessional (not that my blog is professional...). So, starting today, my blog will not be called Mahitha Reddy, but Amateur Teen Writer. I know, I know, it's a bit too long, but every single part of that name is VERY true. I'd like to credit the idea of this name to my wonderful and amazing friend! She's the one who helped me come up with the name. Thank you so much, my friend!! I will be changing the website URL on February 5! The new URL will be amateurteenwriter.weebly.com. Anyway, that's it for today. I thought it'd be best to tell you all as not to confuse any of you after the sudden change. Have a Splendid Saturday!! 👋 P.S. Yes, my name is still Mahitha (I think that should go without saying ¯\_(ツ)_/¯).
Hello everyone! Happy Wednesday! Today, Alexa from A Fangirl's Hideaway has tagged me!! In her post, she asked seven questions. I shall answer these seven questions successfully (unlike last time...). The Guidelines:- 1. Answer the questions below on your blog. 2. Tag at least a couple other bloggers 3. Have them answer these questions! The Questions:- 1. What's your favorite book/book series and why? I have one favorite book and one favorite book series. My favorite book is The Valley of the Wolves and my favorite book series is OF COURSE The Ascendance Series. There is no doubt about that at all. 2. Who's your favorite author? I can answer this question without a doubt as well. DEFINITELY Jennifer Nielsen. WITHOUT a doubt AT ALL. 3. What is your favorite food? Hmmm... I'd have to choose between Pizza and Mac N' Cheese. What should I choose? Aagh, I can't choose! I'll just say that my favorite food is both Pizza and Mac N' Cheese. 4. What gives you inspiration for your books? Usually, I just think of a random title that comes up in my mind. Then, I'd pretend to be a reader reading the title of my book and think about what to expect the story to be. That's how I get my inspiration. Just random words. 5. If you could live anywhere, where would it be? I'd like to live in London. I just really like the place, I'm not really sure why though... 6. Are you an introvert, or an extrovert? *Thinks back to the time before the pandemic started* Okay, I think it depends for me. I can be an introvert when I'm meeting people for the first time. But I am DEFINITELY an extrovert when it comes to my friends and family. I'm sure my friends would agree...most of the time...I think... 7. If you had a warning label, what would it say? What would it say, huh? That's a very good question. Hmmm.... Let's see.... WARNING: OVERLY DECISIVE PERSON Yes, I am a VERY decisive person. It's a bad habit... T_T The Tags!!:- By the way, Alexa. I'm glad I could help you with this post! It was super fun. I hope we can do something like this again sometime! :) Have a great Wednesday, everyone!!
